Customer satisfation is not on their agenda and i would strongly recommend to avoid these guys.
Vacansoleil offers several different jobs and traineeships. These so called " over 100.000 satisfied customers" that they claim they have every year is probably also "the locals" that rate it. There is something outside somewhere...Talking to a quite unpleasant lady in the Danish office, we were advised to "rebook" , which in Vacansoleil language means book another trip and forget about the €800 we paid.
Just home from my camp holiday to Costa Brava and i booked it with vacansoleil and i have mix feelings about them firstly when i got there nobody knew i was coming had to wait for till they found the rep eventually got to my moblie home and i also booked an extra to be close to the pool and that was a waste of money i couldn't have been further away or i would be standing outside the camp gates , so after settling in the next day i was told that i have to move my family as someone else already booked the mobile home i was given that there was hole in the roof so when it was raining for a couple of days everybody was enjoying nights on there deck but me cause it soaking wet on a positive note it was nice and clean and very cosy in side we made the most of our holiday but for the money i paid i expected better probably won't be booking with them again to much hardship. Concerned that this had been drilled into us, I went to the Vacansoleil reception (a hut on site).
Due to using the ferry from the UK we arrived about 8:30 pm only to find the we had a mobile home with only 4 beds instead of 5. The place should be rated at about 2 stars or less.
She gave me a vague run-down of the cleaning (didn't write a thing down). On the website, you can browse campsite locations in 16 European countries. The company was founded in 1969, offering luxury camping holidays at affordable prices. They are also a con-artist. This price is partly dependent on the ages of your travelling companions. Holidays for families with young children. It is disappointing that in the current climate where holidays are being cancelled due to the Covid-19 crisis, Vacansoleil are continuing the refuse to refund deposits, instead insisting that they only issue vouchers. After reading the reviews below, it is apparent that they struggle to deliver on the service promise and now they refuse to refund deposit s where they have cancelled the holiday. Additional costs will be reservation costs (€ 75,- ) and any possible local costs which depend on the age of your travelling company, such as local taxes. It is NOT close to the beach , (30 to 40 minutes walking,) there is only 20 cm in between tents (where is the fire department?) Worst of all there was NO air conditioning and NO barbecue.
Vacasoileil were utterly disinterested when we phoned them to complain! * The prices shows are current prices. with Eurocamp. Once we were in, we realised that the 'cleaning list' was not in the cupboard mentioned.
and Vacansoleil are not adhering to them. This has been my experience and I thought I should share it to make people aware. The staff were polite and answered very quickly but I am very unimpressed with HQ Policy in these very difficult times. We have been visiting French campsites for 12 years normally with Eurocamp or direct with the campsite. I certainly will never use them again.
