I wonder if it's true, because I might consider upgrading to 128GB. If you buy a Dual SD to MSduo adapter, you can put in two 128gb cards to get 256gb! Edit: Ignore the date and time being way off in the picture. in the context of when the psp was new I’m sure 32GB would have been bleeding edge for SD cards.
I managed to get 110 psp games, 70minis, 20 ps1 classics/psx2psp, a handful of homebrew games and 13 emulators with full rom sets and some extra hacked roms on it and even have 5gb spare. I've capped it out with roms, isos and emulators.
Can the PSP support 128gb memory stick? Yeah I just bought the same adapter as OP and a 32GB mSD Card because I read that cards over 32GB are unstable. Yeah, I’m pretty sure my 4GB mem stick pro duo cost more than what I paid for this 128GB microSD card.

I'd like to get a 128gb Micro SD but I was told by a friend that it wouldn't be supported by the PSP. Right now my biggest problem is getting a new battery that isn't some knockoff crap, I've had trouble finding a replacement fat battery for my psp1000, i got a slim battery that works ok enough but i have to put a wedge of paper in to attempt keep it solidly connected, which doesn't really work, Me too I have bought 3 batterys off of ebay all are crap. I saw someone do this once, if I had the money, I'd buy it. but I suspect that's because I have 11x the number of games on the card. If it didn't work then Id just have a new 128GB card to use in my Nintendo Switch. Yeah, I’m pretty sure my 4GB mem stick pro duo cost more than what I paid for this 128GB microSD card. copied over all my iso and games run just fine. As long as the transfer process is easy. I just read that more than 32gb would work, heard kinda sketchy results depending on the card but when I modded my 3000 I thought 32gb was the biggest supported. My original battery had swelled and so I took it out. Thankfully the 1800mwh sony battery I used as a pandora battery(just found out you could turn it back into a normal battery. overall a few seconds added to load times is worth having over 120GB more space. Also most psp takes a few more seconds to boot.
