By using Defend and Lunge, players can learn Defensive Lunge, an ability which allows them to dodge while also defending enemy attacks.
I also appreciated the addition of the cut scenes shown at the inns.

The game is a piece of artwork on it’s own, as were Secret Of Mana & Trials Of Mana.
I am very sure/ aware the game was very popular in Japan which had caused the phone game that included the characters from the first three games. So for so long I dreamed to play the game myself, as I was too young when I watched my relatives play it.
The post-game also centers on a character who was introduced in Legend of Mana's lore, so everything does seem to indicate that a Legend of Mana Remake is next. Legend of Mana not only allows players to play through all three arcs in a single game cycle, they can be completed in any order whatsoever. And movement and combat feel super slow.
Now I am twenty three writing this, & to this day it is my favorite game & I am still finding things within it that I had never seen before. It absolutely was my favorite of all time.
All the names of weapon shops & inns & whatnot are all named after major characters that existed in the earlier games.
We would never have this problem in a remake of Legend Of Mana.
It would be cool to learn more about the dragons, the other jumi & the academy of magic. However, seeing as those are straight ports, that means Legend of Mana has never be re-created on any other platform. It obviously comes from someone who doesn't know squat about story driven JRPGs or RPGs in general. I miss Legend of Mana a lot too :).

Legend of Mana was by far a really great classic & i really wish to see a remake in the works, it would be truly amazing, i never really played Secret of Mana.. but i believe its suppose to be related to Legend of Mana in one way or another, but i've played Legend of Mana since i was a child, its truly a great classic to this day & i would so pay money to play a remake of it. The game ended up being given to my cousin by someone else. That said, for as strong the story and character writing is, it is difficult to actually make progress at times. I would close by saying that to see this game remade would be a dream come true to me & many others.
Trials of Mana played with the idea of multiple story arcs in a single game, but its approach meant that players could only experience on arc per playthrough. So much of its charm came from the gorgeous sprite work.
Legend of Mana might be one of the easiest games in the series. It is like this game engine was designed with a Legend of Mana Remake in mind. The game's character designs and illustrations were done by Shinichi Kameoka, who was also new to the series. I could deal with the confusing fragmented stories and such if it were fun to play, but it just felt like a slog.
When it comes down to it, getting lost in Legend of Mana isn’t a possibility— it’s a given. With a silent protagonist leading the way, it’s important for the side characters to fill the void and develop meaningfully.
In many respects, Legend of Mana is a mess; but it’s also a beautiful, somber RPG about not just love, but life.
