The simplest competitions involve little more than vying to be the last blob standing, while more sophisticated challenges see characters poking each other with weapons while trying to collect and deposit apples, or grab coins while avoiding a pesky ghost. The game's presentation is also pretty good looking, as you'd expect from any Nintendo game. Crazy Theater: In this mode, you compete either solo or on a team in a wide variety of 10 second challenges including "attack your enemies," "dodge the asteroids," and "stand on the correct answer." Adults will probably not find the challenge they’re looking for, but us older gamers aren’t really the target audience anyway. It's just that little bit of change that adds a ton of variety to this mode, and for that, I applaud it. Every year in some way, shape, or form it seems like Nintendo gives us a brand new Kirby  to enjoy. Then you deliver them to your base and push a level to score some points. You earn money by playing the game, and can earn a lot at once by doing certain tasks, like KOing all 3 of your opponents at the same time in Battle Arena or winning 20 games with a certain ability. They're fun to use and all, but you can't use them online as far as I know, and they really just make battles more chaotic, as if they weren't crazy enough already. Party games are pretty common on Nintendo systems, so genre newcomers need to be exceptional in order to stand out. Attack Riders: This is one of the weaker modes in my opinion. Kirby Battle Royale on Nintendo 3DS is a somewhat fun mini-game collection, but one that doesn't have much life outside of its three-hour or so story, and a handful of hours afterwards.
