Elon is very much the center of town. It is spending money like crazy trying to expand, but has neglected to use any of that energy and money to make it easier for us (students). There is a ton of school pride and with really good reason. Somewhere along the line, someone told you about the Elon tradition of stealing a brick.
One word to describe Elon: deceiving. It is small enough that really get individual attention from Professors (My research mentor called and woke me up the other day to ask me a question about our study), but it is big enough that there are so many resources out there. Juunior Hana Hawthorne, one of the organizers, said this protest was motivated by the convoy supporting President Donald Trump that drove through campus on Sept. 19. (Most schools use a weighted GPA out of 4.0, though some report an unweighted GPA. Elon loves its fountains. People were on the scene wearing t-shirts that said "ACTBAC" on them, according to photos taken on Crider's Flickr.
My appreciation for different people around the globe is growing, and something that I look forward to building upon through self exploration.
It is great academically, but too focused on group projects. The football and basketball team, the two biggest sports to cheer on, have recently improved so much that they have both been nationally recognized, however most of the time there are more open stands than people attending. This is not the first time that campus police have heard about this truck. There are about 200 of them altogether, and on a good day, most of them will be there.
I am very excited for my next two years and believe the school will continue to improve and give future students the same fantastic experience I am having.
Campus officer training is very similar to that of a county officer, but their training ultimately is determined by each state. Training for hours, costume planning, and team spirit are just a few of the things needed for Greek Week. Do you know what you want to do? Its pretty much the most amazing university anywhere... just the right size, people from outside of nc dont really know of elon.
Clery Reporting for Hate Crimes Note: Beginning in 2014 Clery adds the categories of national origin and gender identity to the categories of bias. Elon is GORGEOUS. They school colors to sports game...we wear polo shirts and sundresses. Megan Squire, who teaches computer science at Elon and is most known for her work researching right-wing extremist groups on the internet, said she was punched by one of the members of the Confederate gathering. Elon has a really great cultural calendar put out every semester with a list full of impressive speakers, shows and performances. I enjoy knowing my professors personally and having the opportunities that Elon provides. Its an amazing place to learn, with great professors who are willing to go out of their way to help you-- inside and outside of the classroom.

Crider's Twitter statement said the mayor of Graham was downtown at the time of the assault. And football games are more like social events than sports games. Having only been here for three years becuase I transfered, there has been so much more emphasis on business. Elon's most popular majors are Arts and Sciences, Business, and Communications. This will send the message that hate crimes are not tolerated. Elon's administration I feel is not that helpful, unless your really out of the loop, most of them only know very basic things, and often have to call experts if you have a question. Hawthorne said she has been pleased with the administration’s cooperation.
Its really nice to have people you know and like around you all the time. If anything, the trees and squirrels offer a sense of Elon University familiarity after returning from tropical spring break beaches filled with sand and fish. My smallest classes have had 18 people -- my Media Writing teacher gave us all about half a page of written feedback for each 1-2 page article we wrote. Elon is trying to change its appeal as a party school by increasing the number of security, and as a result cited almost half of the incoming freshman clas. The students there are incredibly friendly and the campus is outrageously beautiful.
On-Campus Housing Available. Now there is a fence where we all used to hang out and a restriction has been placed on who can sit with that area. By The beautiful and close campus of Elon helps to increase the sense of community and friendship among students.

I have only had one class that has exceeded 30 people and that was my Freshman Intro to Economics class. Always alot going on around campus. The administration is transitioning the University into a prestigous school and personally I am glad that I am leaving. “When there are convoys in the area that potentially could put students in danger, specifically of the white supremacist variety,” Woodcook said. I spend most of my time with friends either in my room/apartment or in the communications video editing labs. Also study abroad is huge at Elon.
It has become my home away from home. I would have like to see the school stay the way that it was becuase it was much more fun to be at a college that had restrictions but did not bring the hammer down like they do now. These people are usually very liberal and "off" here at Elon. Campus police should be required to complete training on how to handle and respond to hate crimes.
Elon supports students who want to make the most of their college experience. Not much happens downtown Burlington but it’s worth exploring on a Sunday afternoon! If you don't have a car here you're screwed and even if you do have a car, there is not much to do at all besides go to walmart or chain restaurants. Buffington said bringing her daughter to the march today was a conscious decision. You have to drive to get to a lot of places, but not to far at all.
