If you go that route, you can also play around with filters and see if there's one you like for this run. If a solo programmer was given all the source code and art and put on a 1 year salary i bet it could be ported to unreal 4 in like 6 months - a year, C++ is not much different than C from what i understand and would be portable.

Not sure why but while I prefer untouched pixel art, Playstation-era graphics look way better with some level of smoothing or anti-aliasing IMO. Get the PS1 disc for dirt cheap on eBay, and then... well, you know what to do. I really wish they would do proper PC releases, but most of what is released by Square Enix sadly seems to be money grabs. the final fantasy vii and final fantasy viii ports really aren't that bad, aside from the converting to midi files.
You do know the logic "I can play it on an emulator" never works legally, right?

Steamspy says This chrono trigger has sold about 20k-50k copies, but half of Chrono fans dont like Chrono Cross because it was a totally different game when they were expecting a sequel.
Rename save to save_00.bin, save_01.bin, save_02.bin for save slots 1, 2, or 3 respectively. If they could get Kato and Mitsuda on board though, maybe they would reconsider.
