We FINALLY get seated at 8:40PM and they weren't exactly rushing to take our orders. The apple crumb tart was good. We have been going for a few years and have never been disappointed! I would prefer it without tomatoes, which were warmed with the entree. George, Nick and the entire team was such a pleasure to deal with.
This past Saturday was our first time at Cafe Azzurro, and it will be our last! B.Y.O.B. Don't take reservations if you can't hold them! An appetizer, dessert, some sort of compensation for having us wait well over an hour, but nothing! We had a 7:30 reservation and we couldn't even walk through the door to check in.
We paid much less than at Verve in Somerville for better service, food, and atmosphere.

The outdoor tables are under a huge canopy so it's very pleasant, and the indoor space is beautiful. The place is nestled just off a main street in Peapack-Gladstone. Temporarily closed for the season.
Its a good choice in a otherwise sleeply town.
The place was packed and we were lucky to walk in and get a table. An elegant lunch at Azzurro means very nice Italian food, tables decked with white cloths and wine glasses, waiters in ties, plenty of light from the windows, easy conversational noise level and very (!) It was very lively.Eggplant rollatini - delicious!! Great outdoor dining area. Going back this weekend too with other friends!

Great food, attentive and friendly waitstaff, we love dining at Cafe Azzurro! Sit outside if you can- Near the waterfall. The cappellini putanesca was perfectly seasoned and the olives were very distinct.

Cafe Azzuro hosted my daughter's bridal shower over the weekend for 30 or so women and did a spectacular job. We went here for our anniversary and it was a real good choice by my wife! For dinner, my wife got the penne vodka. I had the calamari which was very tender and clearly fresh. Every time you would ask how much longer, you were told another lie of soon. BYOW. Like many places they don't have a liquor license and hence you have to visit the liquor store next door. And I didn't wish to have dinner at 9:30PM! It's a great cute Italian place in a great cute town. I got here on a Wednesday night to meet a group of friends for dinner. Italian restaurants are many but his one has stood the test of time. It was perfect.

Outside dining-- a must ENJOY! My wife is addicted to the Rigatoni, Sausage & Peas. Immaculate restaurant, wonderful wait staff and sone of the most delicious, well presented food I've ever enjoyed. The food is always fresh and well-prepared. You would think they would have offered something complimentary!
My order of the pear walnut baby greens was good. The food was good, but nothing spectacular that warrants treating customers this way.
